Absence
We take attendance and punctuality extremely seriously. If your child is absent from school please let us know before registration at 8.45am so that we can authorise the absence in our register. We are now required by law to publish all unauthorised absences and we cannot authorise them unless we have heard from you either by submitting the form below or by telephone 01453 765959
The following website has helpful information

Please find below links to notify the school of any absences or to request a leave of absence for your child.
Daily Absence Notification
Please use this form to notify us if your child is unable to attend school on any given day.
A new form must be completed for each day that your child is absent and forms should be submitted before 08:30am*.
*Please note: Children with diarrhoea or vomiting must stay away from school until they have not been sick or had diarrhoea for at least 48 hours. This is in line with NHS recommendations and helps prevent the spread of illness within the school community. Check the NHS website for guidance on whether a child should be in school:
Appointment Notification
Please use this form to notify us if your child will need time off school for a medical appointment such as a doctors, dentist, hospital visit, therapy etc.
Leave of Absence Request Form
Please use this form to request any absences for your child in more exceptional circumstances. E.g. a bereavement, external exams/fixture, secondary school visit, holiday. Please note that all ‘exceptional circumstance’ requests will be reviewed by the head teacher and you will be notified in writing within 5 working days whether your request is authorised or not.* Please submit all requests at least 7 working days prior to the day of requested absence.
*Please be aware that, in accordance with Gloucestershire County Council attendance guidance and the Education Act, unauthorised absence may result in a Penalty Notice being issued per parent and per child.
