Concerns About Extremism or Radicalisation

If you are worried that someone you know — whether a pupil, family member, friend, or member of the community — may be developing extreme views or becoming vulnerable to radicalisation, it’s important to seek advice and support early.

You can find helpful information and guidance at www.actearly.uk.

This website has been created by the UK Counter Terrorism Policing network to encourage family members, friends, and community members to share any concerns about someone who may be at risk of being drawn into extremism or terrorism.

The site offers:

  • Clear advice on how to recognise the warning signs of radicalisation
  • Real stories and videos from families who have sought help
  • Information about the PREVENT programme, which provides confidential early support to those who may be at risk
  • Details of how to get help safely, including how to make a referral or talk to trained advisors

If you’re worried about a child or young person in our school, please speak to our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or a member of our safeguarding team immediately.
We will always take concerns seriously and work with you to ensure the right support is provided.
