On behalf of all the volunteers in Friends of Gastrells (FOG), our Parent Teacher Association, a huge and cheerful welcome to the Gastrells School community!

FOG is run by brilliant parent volunteers and has two big aims:

  • To bring our school community together in fun, inclusive ways
  • To raise funds that give our children extra opportunities, resources and experiences

What FOG has funded

After many years of fantastic work, the previous FOG committee stood down in April 2025. Thanks to their dedication, thousands of pounds were raised for the school, including funding for a nurture garden, phonics books and additional equipment.

Friends of Gastrells is excited to continue this positive impact for all pupils.

The committee

A new committee of parent volunteers was elected. Together they share the roles of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, and work with a wider group of parents who help make events happen.

How you can get involved

There are lots of ways to support Friends of Gastrells — whether you can help once a year or more regularly. Every bit helps.

You could:

  • Join the committee
  • Volunteer at events (set-up, stalls, ticketing, clearing away)
  • Help behind the scenes (printing, sorting, admin, collecting raffle prizes)
  • Run an idea or fundraiser you’d love to bring to life — we’ll help you make it happen

Easyfundraising (raise money while you shop)

You can support FOG through Easyfundraising, which raises money for the school when you shop online — at no extra cost to you.

How we keep in touch

Each class has a class representative who shares information about events and activities with parents.

We also run class WhatsApp groups, which are a quick and easy way to stay up to date with reminders and school news. If you’d like to join your child’s class group, please contact the School Office.
