Welcome to Merlin’s.

Merlin’s in a Communication and Interaction Centre within Gastrells school. Our aim is to give our Merlin students a flying start to a life of learning within the Gastrells setting, by providing them with extra support they need to achieve this. The friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment ensures Merlin students feel safe and are ready to learn academically as well as develop their social and life skills. Alongside this, we nurture confidence and independence. We work alongside the school PRIDE values which promote positivity, respect, inclusivity, determination and excellence. The unit is run by Beccy Hyatt and we have a range of highly experienced TA’s who support all students on their journey through school.
