Breakfast Club
At Gastrells Primary School, we’re proud to offer Wraparound Care through our well-established Breakfast and After School Clubs — providing a safe, happy, and nurturing environment for all children aged 4 to 11.
Our clubs are run by experienced, caring staff who ensure every child starts and ends their day feeling supported, engaged, and ready to learn.
Breakfast Club — Start the Day the Happy Way!
Our Gastrells Breakfast Club runs term time, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 8:45am, giving children a calm, cheerful, and positive start to their school day.
A healthy breakfast is served daily — with a choice of cereals and toast — and children can enjoy relaxed, fun activities such as board games, puzzles, and quiet reading before lessons begin. We’re proud to have a 5* Food Hygiene Rating, ensuring every meal is both safe and delicious!
Children are supervised by our friendly staff throughout the session, and parents or guardians must sign them in each morning. At 8:45am, children are escorted to their classrooms ready for registration.
Cost: £5.00 per session, payable weekly or monthly in advance via School Money.
There are usually a few spare places for last-minute bookings — please contact the school office to check availability.
After School Club — Relax, Play, and Unwind!
Our After School Club provides a safe, fun, and friendly space for children to relax and play after a busy day at school. Sessions run Monday to Friday during term time, with flexible timings to suit your family’s needs:
- 3:15pm – 4:15pm – £6 per session
- 4:15pm – 5:15pm – £6 per session (ideal for children attending an extra-curricular club first)
- 3:15pm – 5:15pm – £10 per session
Children can enjoy a variety of activities — from games, puzzles, and arts & crafts to quiet reading or homework time. Those attending the full or later session receive a light meal, freshly prepared in line with our 5* Food Hygiene standards.
All sessions take place in the school hall, and children can be safely collected at the end of their session.
Bookings should be made and paid for in advance via School Money. For emergency or late bookings, please contact the school office to check availability.

All sessions should be booked and paid for in advance through the School Money App. We aim to offer as much flexibility as possible — you can make bookings right up until midnight the night before a session. We’ll also do our best to accommodate last-minute bookings if space allows.
If you pay using Universal Credit, Tax Credits, or Childcare Vouchers, there’s a slightly different booking process. Please contact the school office for more information and guidance.
